<p>The speech of the Dean of the Faculty of Administration and Economics - Qurna at the beginning, I thank God, and I pray and greet the Mujtaba and the God of the pure, the righteous, and after the recent increased interest in the faculties of economics and business locally and globally, given the importance of the world of finance and business in the growth of countries and the advancement and development of societies. In view of the need of the northern regions of Basra for this important specialization, hence the Ministry of Higher Education and the University of Basra responded to that interest and the need for those colleges and established the College of Administration and Economics - Qurna in the north of Basra Governorate. In the first phase, the college received sixty (68) students, with thirty four (34) students for each department. Hence, the deanship of the college sensed the extent of that responsibility and the need to continue the diligent work, as the college administration realized that development is not an option but rather an urgent need to keep pace with the expansion of the college and the growing interest in its outputs. Based on this, the college began at the end of 2019 to prepare a plan to open evening studies because of its importance in developing the college and increasing output, as well as with the aim of serving the regions north of Basra in particular and Iraq, where this work culminated in obtaining the Ministry&rsquo;s approval to open evening studies for the departments of finance, investment and management projects. . In conclusion, I would like to extend my thanks to the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, the esteemed and all those who made an effort to make the college a success and its continuity from the teaching and administrative staff</p>
